Home Watch

If you would like to become a member of the Home Watch Scheme, please contact us. The annual membership is just £2 per household.

Many insurance companies provide a discount on premiums of household policies to approved Home Watch members.

How to become a street Co-ordinator

We currently have approximately 100 Coordinators providing the important link between the Home Watch Committee and the members which is very necessary to the smooth running of the Home Watch group.

Usually a Coordinator maintains close contact with the Home Watch members in their road, but if the road is particularly long, then it can be split into sections with more than one Coordinator in such cases.

Basically the job involves delivering the quarterly Newsletter, annual Traders list, collecting the annual membership subscriptions and enrolling new members.

Finally, being a Coordinator can be a good way of keeping in touch with neighbours and the community in general. It cannot be over emphasised that the strength of the Home Watch scheme lies in the full co-operation between the Police the Home Watch Committee and its members. The role of a Coordinator is, therefore, pivotal and vital.

If you could spare a few hours a month to support the Home Watch scheme in your area, or you would like to know more about becoming a Coordinator, please contact us.

Our motto is:

'There is safety in numbers, and the more of us who work together the safer we will be.'
