Nominated Traders

TRADERS LIST - NOMINATED by MEMBERS

We have compiled a list of Local Traders who have been nominated by members of Home Watch when they have been pleased with the high standards of service provided.

The Traders’ names are sent to the Traders List Secretary who contacts the nominated Traders to obtain their consent for inclusion on the List and to verify details. Some Traders are pleased to allow a discount to Home Watch Members providing they show their membership card. We also ask Members to let the Home Watch Committee know of any problems they have experienced with a Trader so that appropriate action can be taken.

The Nominated Traders List is available to all Members of Home Watch. The List is updated at regular intervals and it currently includes approximately 85 nominations for a number of wide ranging services. Our Parish Council suggests that it is beneficial to the community when we use the services of local businesses and this Traders List goes some way in strengthening this proposal.

Trading Standards recommend, wherever possible, that the services of the Trader should have had the approval of other residents in the area, and this List aims to fulfil that objective.
